Welcome to Em Aay Tailors home page. Also popularly known as MA tailors, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed the founder of Em Aay tailors has been in the business since 1951. He began his training under his maternal uncle Late Mr. T. Abdul Khader who was a master tailor having his own independent business.

His paternal grand father late Mr. P Tamim Sahib was the chief master in British tailoring company Ms.Wren Bennet. His father late Mr. T Bashu Miyan and his elder uncle late Mr. T Abdul Lateef were all master tailors in Ms. Wren Bennet. Mr Ahmed graduated from the Presidency College in Chennai and went on to the US for his apprenticeship under B Kuppenheimer & Co Inc, 2040 West Lake Street, Chicago, Illinois.

He worked in the US for 178 days earning a total of USD 1,950 as a Student Employee while he earned his Diploma in Mass Production Study from Ms. B. Kuppenheimer & Co, Chicago, Illinois.

He traveled extensively in the US during his stay there and he also visited Paris, Frankfurt, Geneva, Rome, Cairo and Karachi before he headed back to his hometown, Madras now popularly known as Chennai.
